Home Women
Welcome to the women's section of the Out to Swim website! Print
Women continue play an integral part in Out to Swim's activities and the club is very proud of women's contributions to the club since its inception: both as part of our London and Brighton swimming squads, and within the Water Polo team, London Orca.  Recently one of our female members was profiled in Crave magazine talking about the fantastic (and very successful!) time she had with the club at Eurogames Barcelona.  In 2007, one of our members, Vicki, swam the channel in a relay team.  And of course, our head coach is female, so there's no doubt that the Out To Swim women are playing out their role at the very heart of the club.

Whilst women are welcomed and encouraged to be full participants at all OTS activities, a women-only swimming session at 20:00 on Thursday evenings (at the Oasis swimming club) offers a fun, sociable and perhaps less daunting way for women to join the club.  Of course, all women are encouraged to swim at the other sessions as well - in London there's a mixed session every day of the week, in Brighton three days a week.  Or why not sign up for our swimming lesson programme in London on Sunday evenings?  With two lanes of the six lane pool at the Queen Mother's Swimming Centre dedicated to our beginners and improvers classes, this is another great way to ease yourself into club swimming.

If you feel you still need some encouragement before coming along to Out To Swim, why not contact our women's rep either here or through the contact section of the website?  We would be very happy to answer any questions you may have.
We hope to see you poolside very soon!
