Out to Swim B&H: Socials & Community

Here at Out to Swim B&H we’re more than just a swimming club – we’re a community. In and out of the pool, you’ll find a friendly, welcoming group of people who love to swim and socialise.

After our regular Thursday and Saturday sessions, we keep the good vibes going with relaxed socials – perfect for winding down and getting to know everyone. Beyond that, we host regular events, activities, and competitions, so there’s always something to look forward to.

Every couple of months, we step things up with bigger social events designed to build team spirit and bring everyone closer together. We also team up with other LGBTQIA+ groups for joint activities, expanding our community even further.

At the heart of it all is our commitment to creating a supportive, non-judgemental space where everyone feels they belong. Whether you’re here to learn to swim or compete – you’ll find a great place to socialise.

One of the highlights of our year is the Brighton & Hove Pride parade each August, where our walking/dancing float really comes alive. Picture a whole crew of us in pink swimwear and cowboy hats, taking over the streets with coordinated moves to Pink Pony Club. It’s a bold, high-energy celebration that’s always among the most eye-catching and talked-about floats of the weekend.
