Brighton & Hove Pride 2018

Swimming at Sealanes and officially coached Sea Swimming

During the warmer months, we may also offer open water swimming sessions in the sea in Brighton and Hove and at Sealanes.  We also participate in the annual Pier to Pier swim competition and Brighton’s New Year’s day swim.

Just a heads-up—these aren’t included in the standard membership fee, so they come with an additional cost.

Students and low-waged

Out To Swim offers a bursary scheme to all members. We offer several generous scholarships and bursaries to help those who might otherwise struggle to attend training or competitions. Support can come in many forms, from reduced membership fees to supported travel costs.

More details on the support available can be found here.

IGLA (LGBT+ swimming club network)

All club membership options give you access to the International LGBT+ swimming club network called IGLA. This means if you are travelling for work or pleasure, you can also swim for free with local IGLA clubs (subject to local club conditions) which is a great way to make friends worldwide. A list of IGLA clubs is here.

The Out to Swim Individual Assistance Programme

As a signed up member you will have access to our Individual Assistance Programme, which offers a series of free counselling sessions together with information, advice, and guidance on a wide range of topics. You can learn more about this service here: OTS Individual Assistance Programme — Out To Swim
